Updated: Aug 20, 2021

Follow motivPT's Dr Alex Loch, a Dance-Specialist Physical Therapist, as he trains you how to strengthen your hips to achieve balance and avoid hip and knee pain! Ballroom and social dancers put a lot of demand on their legs and hips. Without strong and capable hips, both these joints, your knees and your ankles are put at risk for pain and injury. Do this challenging exercise, and don't let pain or weakness limit you.

At motivPT, we'll get you moving in a healthy way. If you have pain, weakness, or imbalance, consider booking with us for an online Physical Therapy routine customized to fit your individual needs. I've been dealing with knee/hamstring/calf pain for years (you know)... finally have discovered that my hips are massively misaligned. Makes sense why I have all of these problems. Chiropractor is helping greatly... But how to make hips STAY in place? These exercises?

Hey, Sabrina! Chiropractic care is a great way to start addressing issues of misalignment, but we also need to attend to the muscles that support our bodies and bones. Muscle balance informs how we work and play, and those imbalances/weaknesses, if not addressed, will result in returning to those same movement habits that cause us pain. THIS exercise is a great one for working hip stability, but our bodies are all unique with unique needs. Try adding this to your routine, and reach out if you have any questions!
